BRADFORD, England (UPI) -- Police in Britain seized a moped from a man who was seen spotted driving with a sack of potatoes between his legs.

West Yorkshire Police shared photos of the bike and the potatoes as officers said the man was stopped for failing to display a license plate on the rear of his vehicle and resting the large bag of potatoes between his feet and the foot plate.

Police said the man had been stopped by the same officer on June 3 as he was given a warning for driving without a license plate and storing hedge trimmers and a bag of laundry between his legs, but decided to seize the moped upon the second offense.

"Everybody deserves a warning under certain circumstances and that's exactly what this rider got last month," the police chief said. We don't expect to be ignored when warnings and advice are given out. Clearly he didn't expect to be seen or stopped again and so thought it okay to ignore the advice.

Police said that the man was also reported for using a vehicle for an unsuitable purpose, but would be able to reclaim his vehicle later.
