Road-raging rhinoceros runs loose on stretch of highway

KAZIRANGA, India (UPI) -- A rampaging rhino running on a stretch of Indian highway was captured on camera by a shocked couple driving down the road.
The video, filmed Sunday on a highway near Kaziranga, shows the rhinoceros charging against traffic on the stretch of highway as cars drive off the road or turn around to avoid the animal.
"Look at the size of the thing," says a man in the filming car, which follows the rhino at a safe distance.
The rhino eventually veers off the road when vehicles completely block its path.
Reports indicated flooding may have caused the rhino to wander onto the road from the Kaziranga National Park, which is home to two-thirds of the world's rhino population.
