JIEYANG, China (UPI) -- A plane parked at a terminal at a Chinese airport was recorded by a security camera being enveloped by electricity when it was struck by lightning.
The video, filmed at Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport in Guangdong Province, shows the plane parked at a terminal during a rainstorm Monday.
A bolt of lightning collides with the plane, causing it to glow with electricity and flames to spit from its rubber wheels.
The airport said no one was aboard the plane at the time of the incident and no one was injured. The extent of the damage to the plane was unclear.
