Anaconda and dog make unlikely 'best friends'

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (UPI) -- A California pet owner shared video of his mismatched pets -- a small dog and a young anaconda -- being introduced for the first time before becoming "best friends."
The video, posted to Instagram by user @ariawesomeness, shows the young snake, named Amy, slithering over the apparently confused canine's back.
The dog ducks away from the snake, giving it a quick lick on the tail before backing away.
The uploader said Amy and the dog have since become "best friends." He said the snake has learned to tell the difference between the dog and the rats she kills and eats.
