TAIPEI, Taiwan (UPI) -- Rescue efforts came to a halt Saturday following an earthquake that caused the collapse of a 17-story building.
Officials said they found the remains of the last missing person, a week after 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Taipei.
The quake caused a 17-story building to collapse leaving 116 people dead, including two who died outside of the building.
The president and president-elect held a memorial service on Friday. Tainan municipal spokesperson said everyone believed to be in the building had been found. Relatives gathered for a vigil near the building.
Building developer Lin Minghui and his to associates were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of criminal business misconduct. The building's poor construction has been cited as a reason for its collapse.
