BLEKINGE, Sweden (UPI) -- Hidden cameras in Sweden captured footage of two wild lynx roaming a local woodland.

The video shared to Facebook shows the typically reclusive animals wandering about in the open as one takes a perch upon a rock.

According to The Local, county authorities set up hidden cameras in order to track the lynx population in the area and register their numbers.

"So far we have documented three family groups in the county," Länsstyrelsen Blekinge län wrote on Facebook. They have all been captured in pictures, but two of the families we have also been able to track in snow.

Sweden has experienced an increase in wildlife populations including 172 lynx family groups according to the national count in 2015.
