British resort breaks Guinness record for tallest stack of pancakes

RUFFORD, England (UPI) -- Guinness World Records confirmed a British resort broke a world record with a 3-foot, 4-inch tall stack of pancakes.
The record-keeping organization said chefs James Haywood and Dave Nicholls of Center Parcs Sherwood Forest in Rufford, England, cooked up 213 pancakes Monday to create the record-breaking stack.
A Guinness adjudicator was on hand to confirm the stack beat a 2-foot, 11-inch tall stack cooked up at the Efteling theme park in the Netherlands in October 2014.
"After many hours of preparation, and the longest five seconds of my life, I'm so proud to say that we've set a new Guinness World Records title," Haywood said. The Pancake House is not just a nod to our Dutch heritage -- it's something that's become synonymous with Center Parcs and is enjoyed by many families.
The record required 13 bags of flour, 360 eggs and 26 pints of milk, Guinness said.
