Cards Against Humanity makes $71,145 selling literally nothing

CHICAGO (UPI) -- Game company Cards Against Humanity announced its Black Friday sale -- a $5 bundle of literally nothing -- raked in $71,145 from customers.
The company said the promotion, which invited people to buy nothing from the company, resulted in 11,248 people giving the minimum $5 and 1,119 giving larger amounts -- with the largest being a payment of $100.
Cards Against Humanity, which calls its product a "party game for horrible people," sold 30,000 boxes of bull [expletive] -- literal poop -- for Black Friday in 2014.
The company said in a blog post the money made from this year's Black Friday sale was split between the firm's 17 employees, who each received about $4,185.
The blog post said the items purchased by employees using their windfall included: PlayStation 4 and WiiU gaming consoles, vehicles for themselves and family members, an $800 "Lord of the Rings Legolas Lothlorien Long Bow," a $365 bottle of Yamazaki 18-year single malt whiskey, tickets to the Chicago Cubs' 2016 home opener, a $3,120 YVA vibrating massager in 24-karat gold, and Lasik corrective eye surgery.
Several employees also chose to give a portion of their money to charities including Planned Parenthood and DonorsChoose.org.
