Wisconsin museum welcomes Lambeau Field scale model built from Lego

GREEN BAY, Wis. (UPI) -- A Wisconsin museum announced it is the new permanent home for a scale model of the Green Bay Packers' Lambeau Field made from more than 130,000 Lego pieces.
The Neville Public Museum in Green Bay announced the Lego Lambeau, which was built to 1:72 scale by students from the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Architectural Engineering Institute, now on permanent display in the museum's Discovery Room.
"Legos are great toys for kids because they support creativity, problem-solving, and teach a lot of math and spatial engineering skills," Neville Education Specialist Ryan Swadley said. Those skills, along with an eye for design, patterns, and beauty, are the abilities that artists of all types use, and architects have the opportunity to bring that art to life size and make it functional.
The model has previously been displayed at the full-sized Lambeau Field as well as Green Bay's Bellin Hospital.
