VIDEO: Kansas farmer goes drone fishing

TOPEKA, Kan. (UPI) -- A Kansas farmer shared video showing how he put his aerial drone to use as a long-range fishing pole -- and successfully caught a fish.

Derek Klingenberg, who previously made viral waves with videos showing him playing trombone for his cows and using his truck to herd the cattle into "cow art," posted a video to YouTube showing how he attached a baited piece of fishing line to his drone and sent it out over the water.

The video shows Klingenberg steer the drone sharply upward when his bobber indicates there's a fish on the line.

The drone pulls the line out of the water, revealing a fish on the hook.

The video then cuts to show the drone camera's perspective of the fish being pulled from the water.

"My first drone fish!" Klingenberg says in the video.
