Viral video star gets face full of frozen yogurt in Missouri

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (UPI) -- A Missouri frozen yogurt shop worker is facing an assault charge after throwing yogurt on a viral video star who claimed to have been "delivered" from his homosexuality.
Stephanie Diaz, a cashier at the FroYo Frozen Yogurt shop in University City, was recorded Wednesday by security cameras throwing a cup of frozen yogurt on Andrew Caldwell after the customer threw money at her.
"The bowl hit me all in my face, my nose," Caldwell told KTVI-TV.
Caldwell said he believes Diaz recognized him from a 2014 viral video where he announced during a church ceremony that he was "delivered" from his homosexuality.
"I don't like mens no more! I said I like women. Women women women women!" he says in the video.
Caldwell said he asked Diaz for a discount and she called him a homosexual slur.
However, Diaz said she did not use any slurs when she spoke with Caldwell.
"That is not true," she said of Caldwell's version of events. I am gay.
Diaz, who said she was not familiar with Caldwell's viral video, said the customer was rude from the start.
"He showed me his driver's license, and he was like, 'I need a [expletive] discount, you [expletive]'," Diaz said.
Diaz said Caldwell continued to be verbally abusive as he threw the money at her.
"I felt offended, so I threw it," she said of the frozen yogurt.
Diaz was charged with a count of third-degree assault. The manager of the FroYo store said no decision has been made yet regarding whether she will be fired.
