Indiana teen turns snow into stunning sculptures

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (UPI) -- An Indiana 14-year-old is turning the snow in her yard into life-sized statues, including human figures with the chiseled details of Michelangelo's David.

Jasmine Wilson of Warrick County, near Evansville, said her creations are made entirely out of ice and snow and each statue takes only "a few hours" to complete.

"I didn't expect it to actually look like a human being," Wilson told WTHR-TV of one of her sculptures, which bears a resemblance to Michelangelo's David. I thought it would look like a bunch of mashed up snow.

Wilson said she will continue sculpting for as long as the winter weather continues.
