Johns Hopkins mistakenly sends almost 300 acceptance emails

BALTIMORE (UPI) -- Johns Hopkins broke the hearts of 294 applicants after mistakenly sending them an email notifying them of their acceptance to the university.

The students were sent emails regarding their early decision application the school with the subject line "Embrace the YES!" but were soon notified it had been in error.

One student posted the email on Twitter.

Sam Stephenson received three messages from the university. The first was a rejection letter, the second was an acceptance letter and the third was a correction of the acceptance.

 

The email sent to correct the error, claimed it was due to a technical mistake.
