SAN FRANCISCO (UPI) -- A San Francisco bus tour guide appears in a viral video delivering a racist rant bashing Chinatown and its residents on what is said to be her last day of work.

The video, posted to YouTube under the title "San Francisco - City Sightseeing tour guide at her last working day," shows the woman drinking from what appears to be a bottle of alcohol while profanely listing the things she dislikes about Chinatown and its residents.

The woman, who said she was from Los Angeles, directed profanity at Chinatown-related subjects including "little herb gardens," little seafood [expletive] markets, turtles and... frogs, ginseng, and little hair salons where no one in there knows how to speak English.

"When you come to America you gotta assimilate a little bit, OK? And here in America we don't eat turtles and frogs," the tour guide said.

City leaders announced they would hold a rally against the company Thursday. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee weighed in, saying an apology wasn't enough.

"I do think that they have to demonstrate that they are going to train their employees better," he said. Tourism is a critical thing for this city. If you saw (the video), it was pretty disgusting to hear this ranting from that individual, and I join in the effort to make sure the company does all they can to correct it and to also make assurances that this won't happen again.

City Sightseeing San Francisco issued an apology for the incident.

"I deeply apologize to the residents of Chinatown and San Francisco, for the conduct of a former employee," the statement read. Comments made by this former employee on her last day of employment are absolutely not a representation of how much we love and support Chinatown, and every other community in San Francisco. Due to this unfortunate incident, we have added additional training processes to ensure that each tour is up to our rigorous standard.
