ABILENE, Texas (UPI) -- Workers at a Texas Chick-fil-A said a drive-through customer handed over $1,000 and said he wanted to pay for the customers in line behind him.

Duste Wolf, an employee at the Abilene location, said the customer pulled up Monday night and handed over 10 $100 bills, explaining he wanted to pay for the drive-through customers in line behind him.

"One lady actually cried because she had a really tough day," Wolf told KTXS. She had a lot of bad stuff happen to her.

Franchise owner Brian LaCroix said the donation lasted for about an hour.

"He paid for 88 cars in a little over an hour," LaCroix said. He pretty much bought everyone's meal in the drive-thru for a little over an hour.

Employees said they asked the man his name and he identified himself only as John.
