LONDON (UPI) -- Like many people his age, 22-year-old Alfred Ajani struggled to find work out of college. After applying to over 300 jobs without a single offer, Ajani took matters into his own hands, holding a sign announcing his academic achievements and handing out resumes in a London subway.

"Marketing Gradute (BA Hon[er]s 2.1 Coventry Uni[versity])," read Ajani's self-plug. A 2.1 is the second highest academic mark an undergraduate student can earn in England.

Despite the unconventional approach, passengers at Waterloo station were appreciative of Ajani's gumption and he reported receiving an encouraging amount of contact information.

"The response has been incredible," Ajani told the Daily Mail.

"I've even had to have my family and friends help me go through all the emails and phone messages I've received. I've spoken to THG about a sales position in Barcelona, which would be a brilliant as it is in the area I want to go into and studied. Living abroad would be a great experience too, so it's something I'm really excited about."

In addition to the potential position in Spain, Ajani received a job interview with the cinema arm of media company Yahoo!, who is currently running his story on the front page their flagship website's Trending News subsection.
