Our final miniature this week is one between Torre and O’Kelly from 1973. BTW, Torre, now over 60, won a medal at the Olympiad just held in Baku. This game was a heck of a fight and worth going over.

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.Bb5+ Nd7 4.d4 Ngf6 5.Nc3 cxd4 6.Qxd4 e5 7.Qd3 h6 8.Nd2 Be7 9.Nc4 0–0 10.Bxd7 Qxd7 11.Ne3 Qc6 12.g4 Be6 [The dangerous looking move (opening the g-file) was better for Black: 12...Nxg4 13.Rg1 h5 14.h3 Nxe3 15.Bxe3 f5 16.Nd5 Rf7]13.Rg1 Nd7 14.Nf5 Bxf5 15.gxf5 Kh7 16.Qh3 Rg8 17.Nd5 Bf6 18.c3 Raf8 19.Qh5 Rh8 20.Be3 Qa4 21.Kd2!!(what an attacking move!
