White seems to be in dire straits here as mate is coming at g2. How does he wriggle out?


Solution:

In Lyell-Sowray, 4NCL, 1997, White found the ingenious escape with 1.Bh6+ Kxh6 2.Kg1+ Qh5 (2..Kg5 3.gxf3) 3.Rxh5+ Kxh5 4.bxc4 and White wins As simple as breaking a pin.
