Prager's Blather
Yet more fatuous claptrap from Mr. Prager. I am 46 years old and
have voted in every Presidential election since 1980, missing only
2004, when I had moved and was unable to re-register in time.
Yes, and I am one of those awful Democrats too. I actually believe
that people should work together and that money is not the most
important thing in the world.
Why does anyone take Mr. Prager seriously? He is a nitwit and
a fool.

Young wasted brains
The young people of today are empty headed. The would vote with very little nolage of Obama as he was the one who told them to vote. The young ones don't care about who is in charge as the laws that govern them say that they are free to do what they want as long as they don't get caught. We live in a sociaty where we can't punish our children or we will loose them .The way to get back our rights is to vote out the old hats and bring in the indapendant party for a real change.

I am a first year college student (major: education)
and I will also cast my first vote for President of The United States in the November election. Its enormous to me not only because its my first time but also this is an election for the history books. At EMU there is a very high percentage of students that are politically active possibly for the same reasons as myself. We will come out in record numbers on election day, We will try to make a difference and DIFFERENT is what we are trying to achieve!

Obama and the youth of the nation
Well, youth are fickle. The turn out in the last election wasn't all that impressive, far less than anticipated. It rained that day, and OSU students didn't want to stand out in the rain to vote. On campus, they are almost a captive audience, but would they go off campus to vote? They didn't. Besides, the fartherer we go, the behinder Obama becomes, as his shabbiness becomes more apparent.

Obama Mania
As with other manias throughout our history on earth, the all-consuming infatuation with Mr. Obama's fundamentalist preacher speaking style will likely turn to cynicism when he cannot deliver on all the glittering generalities he dangles in front of a generally naive population in under three months' time. Our society expects immediate solutions to long-term structural problems. . .a totally unrealistic objective.
I couldn't agree more with Mr. Prager regarding the decline of civility and standards. We have school districts fudging the "No Child Left Behind" testing standards in order to keep their pass/graduation rate up and the federal funding flowing for meaningless, unproductive programs that will not allow our youth to compete with much more ambitious students from India, China, et al.
Even walking down a sidewalk, if two younger people are walking side by side and they come upon someone from the other direction, they frequently make no attempt to create space for that oncoming person. It is a small example, but indicative of a much larger subject, i.e., the "me" generation were catered to in youth and have been conditioned to focus on their needs alone and the rest of society can just "deal with" that reality.
Our onging decline in so many areas spells dark days ahead for the U.S. regardless of who wins the November Presidential election.
