On ID’s “Unusual Suspects,” the 1985 murder of Katie Eastburn and her 5-year-old and 3-year-old daughters was revisited. Army Sergeant Timothy Hennis, who had recently adopted the Eastburn’s dog, was found guilty of the murders and sentenced to death row. He was given a retrial, and acquitted. But then, 17 years later, DNA evidence connected Hennis to the crime. He was retried in a Federal court, and convicted, for the second time, of the three murders and sentenced to death row.
