Michelle Obama sees racism, sexism in race
In an appearance on ABC's "The View," Obama, dressed in a black-and-white sundress, attempted to soften her image, talking about her daughters force her and her husband to put the political campaign aside and focus on them.
"And that's a good thing," she said.
Obama was escorted on stage by co-host Barbara Walters and told the show's other co-hosts: "I have to be greeted properly: fist-bump please. "I'm not that hip. I got it from the young staff."
Asked whether she thought Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., was a victim of sexism by the press, Obama said: "People aren't used to strong women. Elements of racism and sexism -- that will go on. Hillary Clinton as she said she's created 18 million cracks on the (glass) ceiling and we have to keep pushing it and pushing it. She's taken the hits (so) my girls" won't have to.

Michelle vs racism
No one has bothered about sexism when Hillary was mercilessly hit; but somehow now it becomes an eminent concern even to the sexist media. Both Bill and Hillary have been accused of turning the race card when it was Obama who had constantly played stack. Sassy may be right, but how many see colors through the same light?

Crone you hit the nail on the head. It's not only Michelle that is racist her husband is even more of a racest than any white person I have ever talked to.The whole famaly stayed in a America hating, white hating church for a reason they liked it.Becides they needed cover for there real religan Muslum. Why can't the voters see that the church they belong to and that they [the muslums]both hate America. As for Mechelle she is still a big mouth and all she want's is more money to spend on desinner clouthes. She should go home and cook her girls a pot of chitlans and some red beens with rice.

Don't even try to tell me that blacks have never been the oppressors. My husband was denied promotions and pay raises just because he was the white guy - even though he was better qualified.

Of course one can be oppressive having only the slightest perception of authority.
This is why the concept of pseudo-stratification is so important. One must always try to remember to think about what it might be like to be in some one else's position.
Whether it's a waiter or a cab driver or any other service, one must be careful to maintain both the dignity of the person doing the job and the customer receiving the work or service, the option to oppress WILL be there.
Men are oppressed by the "REQUIREMENT" to look "PROFESSIONAL" by wearing a neck tie?
Try to remember that criminals love uniforms more than normal people precisely because people often have a tendency to fail to see the person wearing the uniform. Think of how many variations there are on the basic concept of a uniform, just about every kind of service or company has some kind of uniform policy.
A lot of acting shorthand is to make the costume close enough to be half or more of the characterization.

It is so sad that a white american will call a black american racist. Obviously, many whites still don't realize or won't acknowledge that blacks in this country have been and still are ostracized, denied equal opportunities and discriminated against. When a black person expresses disatifaction of their plight regardless to the setting, they are labeled as racist. A black person is suppose to go on as though everything is fine and dandy.
To be racist, you must be in a position to oppress and blacks have never, in this country, been the oppressors.
