Nude baby cake violates store rules
Gail Jordan, 41, said she wanted to feature a nude baby picture on her grown-up son's birthday cake as a joke, but was surprised when staff at Asda supermarket said it went against the store's policy, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday.
"They said it could be anyone's child so it could be deemed pornographic," Jordan said. "It's ridiculous -- I understand they have rules, but there ought to be a place for common sense as well."
Workers at the Liscard, England, store said there was no way they could print the picture as it was, so a white star was placed over the baby's behind as a compromise.
"We have a policy, as do many other retailers, of no nudity, whatever the age of the subject," an Asda spokesman said.
