Interesting...

When I was growing up, my "mother" after purchasing a head of lettuce, ALWAYS removed the first few layers of leaves off the head and threw them away... I, as an adult, NEVER have thrown away ANY part of the outside layers [only the dead PARTS of the outside leaves]. I always have liked the greenest part of the head the best... Also, I have read and been told that LETTUCE has NO nutritional value... This is pure [un]truth. No. 1, if it comes from the EARTH that JESUS gave us to eat, we [nutritionally] need it. Also, the fact that we CRAVE salad/greens/LETTUCE is the GREATEST indicator that our bodies NEED THEM...
