Rain delays Golden Corral 500
Race officials have re-scheduled it for Monday morning.
The all-day rain started early, and it continued to drizzle as the 1:30 p.m. Eastern start time approached. Speedway workers tried in vain to dry out the course, but Nextel Cup officials postponed the race until Monday.
If it is run, Kasey Kahne will be the pole-sitter and Bill Lester, who qualified 19th, will be the first African-American to race in the Nextel Cup Series since Willy T. Ribbs in 1986.
