Report: Boy, 12, suspended for haircut

TAMPA, Fla. (UPI) -- Twelve-year-old Zachary Sharples' "Rayhawk" hairstyle resulted in his suspension from middle school, The Tampa Tribune reported.

The hairstyle, better known as a Mohawk cut, got its name because several Tampa Bay players sport the haircut as they battle in the American League playoffs.

Zachary was suspended from Lincoln Middle School in Palmetto, Fla., earlier this week because of the "Rayhawk," the newspaper reported.

Zachary said he's not cutting his hair, yet.

"I'm not shaving it off until they win the World Series," he said.

The Rays qualified for the post-season for the first time since their inception in 1998 after winning the American League East Division this season.

Teachers pass only kids they like

School boards have nothing better to do than to pick on lil kids just because of there appearence, Its sad that just because some teachers dont like a certane haircut that the kid has to get it by the teachers standards, I Say screw the teachers, its not there disision, if a kid wants to wear a mohawk or a phrohawk so be it, there hair has nothing to do with education, no wonder why alot of kids are failing the education system, the board worrys too much on appearences and Money, So the school boards can all go blow each other and wake up and relize that what they are teaching is bull$hit. Haircuts have nothing to do with education, its not right for a school/Teacher to fail a kid and ruin there life over a haircut, so Fu(k off Teachers who dont know how to teach the right way and instead of passing all the rich snobby lil kids who get there way, Your paid to be a teacher not a Judge, Dumb Fu(ks!!!
