MLB: LA Angels 5, Boston 4 (12 innings)
Napoli scored on Erick Aybar's single to help the Angels snap an 11-game post-season losing streak against the Red Sox and stave off a three-game division series sweep. Game 4 is set for Monday night at Fenway Park, with the Red Sox up 2-1.
Napoli drove in Vladimir Guerrero with a two-run homer in the third, and then stroked a solo homer in the fifth. He led off the 12th with a single off reliever and losing pitcher Javier Lopez (0-1), went to second on a sacrifice bunt by Howie Kendrick and then scored on Aybar's first hit of the series.
Chone Figgins had three hits and scored a run for the Angels.
Jered Weaver, making his first MLB relief appearance, opened the bottom of the 12th by walking David Ortiz but then retired Kevin Youkilis, Jason Bay and Alex Cora to get the win.
Jacoby Ellsbury drove in three runs for Boston when his bases-loaded pop fly dropped in among three Angels fielders in shallow center.
The game took 5 hours, 19 minutes to play, making it the longest ALDS game ever.
