MLB: Washington 7, Atlanta 3

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- Ryan Zimmerman and Lastings Milledge drove in two runs each Friday and the Washington Nationals went to the bullpen five times to hold off Atlanta 7-3.

Despite struggling through a season that has seen them 35 games below .500, the Nationals have beaten Atlanta in seven of their last eight meetings.

Washington won its fourth game in a row overall thanks to a solid outing from its relief corps.

Zimmerman singled in a run in the first and delivered a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Milledge had a two-run base hit in the fourth that gave the Nationals a 5-0 lead.

Odalis Perez (6-10) got the win, allowing two earned runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings.

Joel Hanrahan recorded the final two outs for his seventh save.

The loss went to Jorge Campillo (7-7), who coughed up five runs on eight hits in 3 2/3.
