Gallon lunged at the start of Sunday's $50,000 Tacoma Handicap for 3-year-olds, leaving himself plenty to do. But the Kentucky-bred son of Victory Gallop was up to the task, catching pace-setting Fear No Evil in the closing strides to win by a neck. Margo's Gift finished third. Ridden by Juan Gutierrez, Gallon ran the 1 mile on a fast track in 1:36 3/5.
