Ohio State leads the first BCS poll
Ohio State (7-0), which has dominated its opponents to date, is the first Big 10 team to sit atop the initial BCS standings.
The Buckeyes' latest win was a 38-7 rout of Michigan State on Saturday.
The Trojans (6-0), who lost to Texas in last year's championship game, registered narrow victories against Washington State, Washington and Arizona State in the last three weeks.
Southern California has been ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the BCS standings for 25 straight weeks.
Michigan (7-0) is third; and after its upset of Florida Saturday night, Auburn (6-1) is fourth; with West Virginia (6-0), the Gators (6-1), Louisville (6-0), Notre Dame (5-1), Texas (6-1) and California (6-1) filling out the top 10.
