Woman with machete arrested at White House
Passersby alerted police that the woman was sitting on the sidewalk, and had pulled the blade out of a leather sheath and was sharpening it on the edge of the sidewalk Sunday afternoon.
Secret Service spokeswoman Kim Bruce said the woman twice ignored instructions to drop the blade and taunted the agent about shooting her, CNN reported.
Ashwak Saleh was arrested and turned over to the Washington Metro Police Department, and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.
