Tip: Dig and Store Dahlias
National Gardening Association
After frost dig and store dahlias. Dig tubers, cut back stems to 6
inches tall, and dry outdoors. Hang tubers upside down for 2 weeks,
then store in moistened peat moss in slatted boxes in a 35F to 50F
basement.

Dig and Stor Dahlias
My mother gave me some Dahlias in August that she had dug up and stored the previous year but never replanted. Since it was so late in the growing season, I did not plant them. Would they still be likely to be viable next year if I keep them in storage over the winter?
