Awwwww - so sweet. Having cats most of my life, I've seen many newborn kittens. But one time, at a vet's office, I got to see a litter of newborn pups. The mother, a chocolate lab, had just had a caesarian. The owners were taking their new family home, the mother was still uder the effects of the anasthesia - awake + alert but she couldn't stand up - had to be carried out of the office. The puppies were put in a plastic pan and the new "dad/grandad" let me see them. I could have touched them, but thought the new mom might be upset with a strange scent on her babies.
