Grain futures close mostly higher
Corn was up 16 1/4 to up 17, soybeans were up 19 1/2 to up 25; wheat was up 22 to up 22 3/4 and oats were off 1/4 to unchanged.
Corn futures jumped despite improved harvest weather in the Midwest. Wheat prices surged late in the day with the dollar losing ground against the euro. Soybeans rallied with the year's harvest about 50 percent complete.

Corn: Dec 3.82 1/4, up 16 1/4; Mar 3.95 3/4, up 16 1/2; May 4.04 3/4, up 16 1/2; Jul 4.13 1/2, up 17.
Soybeans: Nov 9.97 1/2, up 19 1/2; Jan 9.98, up 21 1/2; Mar 10.00, up 25; May 9.95, up 25.
Wheat: Dec 5.16 3/4, up 22 1/2; Mar 5.36 3/4, up 22 3/4; May 5.49, up 22; Jul 5.59 1/2, up 22 1/4.
Oats: Dec 2.54 1/4, off 1/4; Mar 2.58, unchanged; May 2.76, unchanged; Jul 2.84, unchanged.
