Why Does Atheism Seem to Be Growing So Much?

Q: Why does atheism seem to be growing so much in recent years? I
guess there have always been people around who didn't believe in God,
but atheists seem to be in the public eye a lot more than they used to
be. - M.M.
A: Yes, atheism has been in the public eye more in recent years, largely because of a few atheists who've captured the public's attention through their books. They aren't large in number but they do tend to be aggressive in promoting their ideas.
Why have they drawn so much attention? One reason, I believe, is because they know how to use the media very effectively. They also appeal to people who want to be free from God or any moral restraints. Like the philosophers of Paul's day who were constantly looking for new ideas to debate, many people today eagerly latch onto the latest fad (see Acts 17:21). Atheism attracts their attention - at least for a while.
In reality, however, modern atheists have very little new to say. In fact, atheism has been around for thousands of years; even the Psalmist - writing hundreds of years before Christ - referred to them: "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God'" (Psalm 14:1).
Don't be misled by those who claim God doesn't exist - because He does. And the ultimate reason we know it is because He came down from heaven and walked on this earth in the person of Jesus Christ. Christ was God in human flesh - and He proved it by rising from the dead. Put your faith in Him, for He alone gives us peace in the present and hope for the future.

DOM: My first question is.. is there such UU Church in the Bible? There are more than 9 verses in the Bible that specifically mentioned the name of the Church… and that is THE CHURCH OF GOD. (I & II Cor 1:1-2; etc.) which was built by Jesus Christ 2 thousand years (Mat 16:18). And we cleaved to that church. (Rom 12:9) and never put up our own church.
CHRIS: ….and see if that is more along the lines of how you really feel. Think on the fact that you were probably raised this way, just like you were raised to believe in Santa. Young minds are easily swayed and frightened into belief.

DOM: I agree with you that we have to investigate which CHURCH teaches and practices the TRUE RELIGION (John 7:17 and I John 4:1). But the question is… in what church? Let us ask the authority… Paul, the presiding minister of the Church of God teaches the TRUE CHRISTIANS the PURE religion (James 1:27). No mentioned that it will be learned in UU Church.

Once people educate themselves with evidence based knowledge it is difficult to reconcile with any supernatural based religion.
