Is My Chronic Anxiety a Sin?
By Billy Graham, Tribune Media Services
Q: I have suffered from severe anxiety most of my life; I'm even on
medication for it. Does this mean I can't go to heaven, since Jesus
said it was a sin to worry? I really do believe in Jesus, but I'm very
concerned about this. -- A.McD.
A: Don't be concerned about this any longer; God understands your problems and welcomes you just as you are. We don't have to be perfect before God will accept us; if we did, none of us could ever be saved! God's promise is for you: "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
It's important for you to understand exactly what Jesus said about worry. He knew that we all tend to worry about the future -- but God knows all about the future, and because He loves us we can trust our future into His hands. He said, "Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. ... Your Father knows that you need them" (Luke 12:22, 30). The opposite of worry, Jesus was saying, is trust -- trust in God and His unchanging love.
Jesus spoke those words, incidentally, to His disciples -- that is, to those who were already part of His Kingdom. He wasn't telling them that worry would keep them out of the kingdom of heaven; they were already part of the kingdom! If you have truly trusted Christ as your Savior, you too are part of His kingdom.
God doesn't condemn you for your problems; He knows they are real, and He also knows the reasons behind them. But He still loves you and you can trust Him for every detail of your life. Begin each day by asking Him to help you trust Him more.

Yes am afraid to tell you this but I have to cos the bible says yee shall know the Truth and it shall set your free.
Now in the new testament, Jesus said that in our worrying we haven't been able to change situations, and it also shows that you don't trust God enough to place your cares on Him, and this is not good it the birds of the fields are taken care of by God, how much more you who is made in His image and likeness?
I advise you discuss this with your pastor and get a devliverance session carried out on you, to help you rid the negative spirit of anxiety, and note this emotion can make you sick.
Trust God and you'll have no need to worry.

Chronic Anxiety
I suffer with anxiety myself, and at times have quite severe panic attacks. I believe however, that chronic anxiety could be inherited, or could be a defiecincy in the body, which is quite different from just plain worry. I do believe however, that a person with chornic anxiety should pray to God for deliverance, and expect a miracle, and remember that all things happen in God's timing.

I have a problem with this one. Not with the one asking, but what some well meaning "Christian" may have said to you to make you think that you are sinning because of your disorder, which has caused you to be concerned.
Sometimes, well meaning Christians, who have no understanding whatsoever of an issue, will give what they feel is good advice, but is actually an uneducated guess, much like when they predict the weather, only that is an educated guess, when they should just keep their mouths closed.
It is like the well meaning Christian referring to a drug addict, asking why they just don't stop. The answer of course is, because it isn't that easy.
Rest at ease, God will not hold you at fault for a medical condition. Definitely put your trust in Him, and always tell Him your concerns, and trust Him, but don't let people get you down. It is only a sin to do something, when you have control over it.
God Bless
