How Can Break the Habit of Internet Pornography?

Q: Have you ever had anyone ask you how to break the habit of Internet
pornography? I just can't seem to overcome it, and I'm scared to death
my wife will find out. I don't know how I got into this so deeply. --

A: Almost every week, I receive at least one letter from someone who's been trapped by pornography over the Internet. The Internet can be used for great good -- but it also can be used for great evil, and the widespread availability of pornography over the Internet may be its greatest evil.
The first step is to realize that this is sin in God's eyes. It isn't just a bad habit, nor is it only something that appeals to your lusts or your craving for excitement. It is sin -- and you must not excuse it or deny it or say that it doesn't really matter. It is sin -- and the Bible warns that "after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death" (James 1:15).
This is why I urge you to turn to Jesus Christ and open your heart and life to Him. He doesn't love your sin -- but He does love you, and He wants to come into your life and take away your sins and begin to change you from within. Commit your life to Him, and then ask Him to fill you and replace everything that is evil or wrong with His goodness and purity.
Then take practical steps to fight this habit. Get a program for your computer that will filter out unwanted sites -- and use it. Move your computer into a place where others can see what you are doing. In addition, share your problem with a trusted friend who can hold you accountable for what you watch.

The best help you have received came from Dr. Graham and Rev. Mark. Especially, the hardest one, to sit down and explain this to your wife. What you might not realize is, 98% wives already know something is not right. They have an instinct (or you might say, radar) instilled in them. Telling her will put you on a path of feeling free of what you have done. Then prepare for the healing.Look to the Lord for help, wisdom and understanding. If you ask Him earnestly, He can see in your heart of your repentance. The Lord will never leave you. Now, this doesn't mean that Satan will not tempt you. You must not try on your own in this, because it is futile. You need to get with someone, as Dr Graham pointed out, who you can be accountable to, as well as needing God to help you with this, just like I needed, to quit the homosexual lifestyle.
But here is the hardest part. You need to confess this to your wife as well. Because when you commit such sins in your mind, it is the same as doing them, and this is a form of adultery, because you are seeking sexual pleasure from soemone other then your wife, which means you have sinned against her as well.
As you do these things, God will do His part to help you with quitting. And remember also, 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:7-8
And yes, also as Dr Graham has said, move the computer to where people are looking over your shoulder.
