How Can An Atheist Like Me Get on the Right Road?

Q: I've always said I'm an atheist, and I am. But down inside, I'm
beginning to wonder if I'm on the wrong road (although I'd never admit
it to anyone). What would you say to someone like me? Don't just tell
me to have faith, because I don't have any. -- M.McN.
A: I firmly believe that the main reason you're questioning your present attitude is because God is at work in your heart, trying to show you the futility of your disbelief and pointing you to a better way. I pray you won't try to silence His voice!
And why is God doing this to you? It isn't because He's just trying to win an argument with you and convince you that He is right and you are wrong. He is creating these feelings in you for one reason: He loves you and wants you to discover the joy and peace that come only from knowing Him. If He didn't care about you He wouldn't bother with you -- but He does care, and He is pursuing you and seeking to draw you to Himself. The Bible says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness" (Jeremiah 31:3).
How can you know not only that God exists, but also that He loves you? Look at Jesus Christ as He is found in the pages of the New Testament -- for He was God in human flesh. Not only that, He gave His life for you, and He rose again to give you eternal life.
The greatest truth any person can ever discover is that God loves them and has opened the way for them to be with Him in heaven forever. Don't let your pride, or anything else, keep you from turning to Christ and putting your faith and trust in Him.

Get to know about HIM.How? look around you-the sky, the trees, the birds, the wonderful nature around your house, the good people in your family, the things you own that gives you joy, the breath of life you take in every moment, your heartbeat, your voice, your movements, your LIFE, (how old are you-38, 40, 60, 90, etc.)only God could create all these.What about His promise of heaven, His kingdom?If these things are beyond description and happiness, how much more is heaven, His kingdom?Read His words and promises-in the Bible. How He gave His Son to us, to save us.The more you know God, the more you get closer to the TRUTH of WHO HE IS, and WHO WE ARE!Amen.

Billy Graham and Revmark gave you the best advice. Follow it. Btw, the watch demo was a very good example. I might just add something to that. Ask the Lord for wisdom to get to know Him better. Satan has had his chance, give your Heavenly Father, who created you with His love, a chance. The Lord is knocking at your heart, give Him a chance to come in. You will never regret it. When you allow the Lord to come into your heart you have such a peace within. That doesn't mean you don't have every day problems. But the peace you will feel from having the Lord is not describable.To repeat what Revmark wrote, It is like a great big weight has been lifted off your body because our loving Heavenly Father has now taken on all your cares and worries. How can you "not" believe in Him when His love makes you feel so peaceful inside. I pray that you give Christ a chance. You will never regret it.
