Window Decals - A Fun Way to Express Yourself

It seems that just about everyone these days has window decals on the windows of their car. Some people love them, some people hate them, and some people just love to collect them. Whatever your opinion on these decals is, there is no denying that they do add a certain flair and uniqueness that you used to only be able to get through bumper stickers.

While bumper stickers used to be the only way to add your own style, point of views, and hobbies to the outside of your car, today window decals are taking their place. Decals are generally easier to take off whenever you want, and they can be placed on the back or side windows -- not just on the back. These two reasons are big contributors to their boom in popularity over the past ten years.

If you have ever had to remove a bumper sticker, then you know exactly how irritating it can be. The adhesive that is usually used on them is too strong and can even damage your paint job when removing. Window decals do not have this problem, as the adhesive that is normally used is just enough and because they are not directly on your car they run no risk of damaging your car's body, even in a minor way.

Another reason that decals seem to be popping up on cars just about everywhere is that many companies offer customized decals. Depending on where you look, you can have your own designs made into decals or you can pick and choose aspects that the company offers. An example of a popular decal type that people choose because they are customizable is the kind that has stick figure drawings of each member of the family, including pets. These have really grown popular over the past two or three years, and are a great way for you to show off your entire family while on the road, even if they are just cute little stick figures.

If you have ever been on vacation, you have likely seen bumper stickers for tourists that proudly display the name of the place they have been along with a saying or an image. This type of thing is starting to come up in decal form as well, though they are much more simplistic because of the normal thin-lined nature of these decals.

People are always looking for ways to make their cars scream their interests, hobbies, and pride. While this is something that started simply with bumper stickers, it has grown into the far less irritating window decals, you many more reasons than the ones mentioned above. They have quickly become the new way to proclaim your uniqueness to the world through your car.
