I cannot believe all of you people who will back a republican no matter what. They rewrite their history, rearrange the facts, lie and you brainless idiots swallow it lock, stock and barrel. Look at the world, look at our country's loss of respect, look at our pitiful economy, look at the trillions we are in debt. But oh, let's not take away your pitiful tax breaks, let's continue to put everything on our China credit card. Let the kids pay for it, let them get us out of this pitiful situation and war. All hail king George the idiot. Thank God for someone like Arianna who at least can think, see and speak the truth.

Once again you got it wrong. Your column should have been titled "The Liberal Media's Oldest Afflication" - the bashing of a non-liberal President, his/her administration and like minded citizens.
MGM had it right in her post, because everything revolved around political agendas.
Cina was also on target, but Gery appears to have over looked that fact that there is a group of "advisors" that voice their opinions about everything - to the press. That group is called Congress. Remember that's the group that's "led" by the liberal lady from California and the liberal gentleman from Nevada; and which has a 9% approval rating from the American public.

As a Vietnam veteran, I have had an object lesson in unity, or lack thereof. But,having spent a career defending our concept of democracy, I also realize that we are only free if people can voice their opinions. Our problem today is that people did not talk enough before the war. Bush has habitually surrounded himself with advisors that share his viewpoint and together they took us into a war we cannot get out of. I think a leader should have advisors with as many diverse opinions as possible; that all sides should be heard and weighed before coming to a decision. This year, we as a country are faced with a leadership decision. We need as much information as possible, especially that with which we do not agree. Madam Huffington has brought up points that we all need to consider seriously.

War
It is a sad day in this country when a recognized (respected is too strong a word) member of the media would rather see a loss in a war as support for their political position rather than a win at war which would enhance the credibility of the opposing side.
